New Details in the Murder Case of Mardzavan: Mask, Gloves, and Shoes Found

During the preliminary investigation of the murder case in Mardzavan, a person has been arrested and presented to the investigative body based on direct suspicion of committing the crime, following large-scale complex operational-search measures carried out by employees of the Republic of Armenia's National Security Service and the Special Investigative Service.

As a result of urgent actions taken during the preliminary investigation, revealing indisputable traces confirming the individual's connection to the crime have been discovered in premises belonging to the arrested suspect. These include the mask, gloves, shoes, jacket, and night vision device that the suspect attempted to destroy by burning.

The investigative committee assures that the entities conducting operational-search activities have full control over the operational situation, and the investigative body will take necessary measures using the legal tools provided by the Criminal Procedure Code to ensure the principle of inevitability of criminal responsibility and to guarantee the comprehensiveness of the investigation.

Considering the public resonance of the criminal proceedings, the Investigative Committee will regularly issue statements regarding the results of the investigation within the limits permitted by law.
