You Gave Important Momentum to the Process of Freeing the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin from Ktrich Nersisyan: Pashinyan

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has addressed the voters of the consolidated community of Vagharshapat in a congratulatory message:

“Dear voters of the consolidated community of Vagharshapat, I bow before all of you and first of all congratulate you on the occasion of democratic elections. Your choice has made several important statements:

1. You elected the candidate from the 'Civil Contract' party, Argishti Mekhakyan, as the community leader, affirming that a peaceful, prosperous, and democratic Republic of Armenia is the best way to immortalize the memory of our fallen heroes, a grand tribute to their memory.

2. You unequivocally supported the 'Civil Contract' party’s strategy to strengthen our statehood, independence, sovereignty, and freedom.

3. With your choice, you gave important momentum to the process of freeing our holiest site, the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, from Ktrich Nersisyan.

4. You appreciated the work done by the 'Civil Contract' party during the previous term in your community and were forgiving of the mistakes made. I want to apologize to all of you for those mistakes.

I congratulate Argishti Mekhakyan on being elected as the community leader of Vagharshapat and I congratulate the people of Vagharshapat for choosing Mekhakyan, who has proven his effectiveness as a humble but capable manager.

I congratulate all my colleagues in the 'Civil Contract' party and all citizens of the Republic of Armenia on the resounding prelude to the nationwide elections of 2026. The people of the Republic of Armenia will win in the parliamentary elections of 2026,” wrote the Prime Minister.
