Armenia and UAE to Sign Agreement on Defense Cooperation

During a working visit to the United Arab Emirates, Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan met with UAE Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Crown Prince of Dubai, His Highness Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Armenian Ambassador to the UAE, Karen Grigoryan, also participated in the meeting.

A range of issues regarding defense cooperation between Armenia and the UAE were discussed. Both parties expressed their willingness to develop bilateral cooperation in the field of defense and, to this end, are set to sign an agreement on defense cooperation, which will outline the main directions of collaboration.

Regional and international security issues were also discussed during the meeting.
