Armed Man Storms Turkish TV Channel Headquarters and Is Arrested

This morning, an armed man stormed the BeIn Sports office located in the Ayazaga district of Istanbul, causing panic and demanding a meeting with host and commentator Gultekin Ona. Turkish media reported that the 42-year-old man accused Ona of offending his wife, who works as a security officer in the building.

Special forces of the police arrived at the scene and began negotiations with the 42-year-old man while evacuating the television channel's premises. According to the IHA news agency, the man surrendered and was arrested about half an hour later. It was later revealed that the 42-year-old man was armed with a toy gun.
