VIDEO: Children Have Been Deprived of Their Parents for Over a Month, Women of Their Husbands - Anna Hakobyan

The wife of the Prime Minister of Armenia, Anna Hakobyan, and the Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan participated in the "First International Forum of Influential Women" held in the Islamic Republic of Iran. During the first part of the forum on January 20 in Tehran, the first ladies delivered speeches and discussed the details of signing a memorandum at the conclusion of the meeting.

Anna Hakobyan also delivered a speech, presenting the level of women's involvement in Armenia, from politics to healthcare, education, and even the Armed Forces. The Prime Minister’s wife assured the attendees that events like this are becoming increasingly important in today’s world, where the role of women is highly valued. Such forums also facilitate the gathering of women engaged in various activities to discuss and find solutions.

Hakobyan also presented her initiative "Women for Justice," aimed at combating wars and uniting women’s voices. This initiative was disrupted by the 44-day war unleashed by Azerbaijan. Presenting the challenges facing Armenia, from the 44-day war to the occupation of Armenian territories by Azerbaijan, the detained prisoners, missing persons, ongoing attacks, desecrated bodies of heroes, and martyrs who have not surrendered their land, the Prime Minister’s wife drew attention to a recent violation—the blocking of the only lifeline connecting Artsakh to Armenia by Azerbaijani faux environmentalists, depriving 120,000 Armenians of healthcare, education, and necessary basic living conditions. "For over a month, children have been deprived of their parents, and women of their husbands," emphasized Anna Hakobyan in her speech.

According to the Prime Minister's wife, all of this is aimed at ethnic cleansing of the Armenians living in Artsakh. To prevent all this, she stated, a strong and condemning response from the entire international community is necessary.

Hakobyan called on the attendees and all women around the world to join the campaign for peace and urged unity. At the conclusion of her speech, Anna Hakobyan welcomed the initiative to sign a memorandum and establish an association, expressing hope that the document would soon be on the table and provide everyone with the opportunity for detailed discussion.

During the first part of the forum, all participating first ladies and high-ranking women officials delivered speeches, including the initiative's initiator, first lady of Iran, Jamileh Sadat Alamolhoda. The Iranian first lady highlighted that the purpose of the forum was not to compete with men, but to collaborate with them. According to her, it is ultimately this cooperation that establishes the "First International Forum of Influential Women." Dr. Alamolhoda noted that their goal is to combat discrimination, with the main desire to establish justice, peace, friendship, and morality in the world.

After the first part of the forum, Anna Hakobyan also visited the Tehran International Exhibition Halls, where products made exclusively with the involvement of women are presented. Hakobyan toured the booths, where each seller individually presented their products. The exhibition showcased agricultural, industrial, aquaculture products, food, and other equipment produced by Iranian women. During her visit, Anna Hakobyan also answered questions from Iranian media and shared her impressions of the exhibition.
