52 Investigators Involved in Samvel Karapetyan's Case; Investigative Committee Claims It's Not Excessive

Opposition MP Agnesa Khmoyan announced in the National Assembly that the Investigative Committee aims to keep Samvel Karapetyan in custody for as long as possible. According to her, 52 investigators are participating in the case, despite the fact that the department has a total of 811 investigators.

Khmoyan believes that the failure to forward the case to court until now, along with the involvement of such a large number of investigators, indicates that the authorities are striving to keep Karapetyan in isolation for as long as possible.

In response to the MP's statement, Investigative Committee Chairman Arthur Poghosyan stated that a "huge amount of investigative work" has been conducted. He noted that around 100 searches were carried out in one night, but the volume of the investigators' work has diminished thereafter. Poghosyan emphasized that the involvement of 52 investigators in this case is commensurate with its complexity and scope.
