Israel Strikes New Targets in Southern Gaza

The Israeli Air Force has launched airstrikes on the suburbs of Khan Younis in southern Gaza. This was reported by the Palestinian Maan news agency.

According to the agency, "the occupation forces' aviation carried out several airstrikes between Bani Suhaila and Maan, east of Khan Younis." There are currently no reports of casualties or injuries.

Maan further reported that during the past 24 hours, Israeli artillery has also targeted the eastern neighborhoods of Gaza City. The Israeli military continues to blow up and demolish residential buildings in the eastern parts of Khan Younis and Gaza, destroying entire neighborhoods.

It is noteworthy that a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas came into effect on October 10. Under this agreement, Hamas released 20 hostages who had been held in Gaza since October 7, 2023. According to the Palestinian Prisoners' Affairs Office, Israel released 1,718 prisoners, who have returned to Gaza, including 250 Palestinians sentenced to long-term or life imprisonment.

Hamas continues to transfer the bodies of deceased hostages to Israel.

According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, the number of casualties during the ceasefire has reached 226. Following the ceasefire announcement, the Israeli Defense Forces have carried out several strikes on Gaza, as stated in a message from the IDF's press service, citing violations of the ceasefire regime by Palestine.
