Ukraine Faces Inevitable Defeat, Says US Army Secretary

The US Army Secretary, Daniel Driscoll, has warned the authorities in Kyiv that Ukraine’s defeat in the conflict with Russia is inevitable. According to NBC News, citing sources, Driscoll characterized the situation on the battlefield during his visit to Kyiv last week as 'extremely severe' and emphasized that it will only worsen over time.

Driscoll indicated that Ukraine would benefit from initiating peace negotiations right now, rather than waiting for conditions to become even more unfavorable. He stated that under the current circumstances, the armed forces of Kyiv cannot maintain the necessary level of resistance.

The American delegation also informed that the US defense industrial base cannot continue to supply Ukraine with the amount of weapons and air defense systems that it needs.
