Netanyahu Will Recognize Palestine, Trump Says

US President Donald Trump is confident that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will eventually agree to recognize a Palestinian state. Trump made these remarks during an interview on CBS News' "60 Minutes."

According to Trump, he has worked effectively with Netanyahu. "I have understood him very well; sometimes I've had to guide him. I think I've done a good job with that. He's a very capable man," Trump stated.

He added that Netanyahu's political experience and awareness of the situation could contribute to the peace process. Trump did not elaborate on the conditions or timeframe for such a move to take place.
