My Speech Yesterday Had Two Objectives, Says Nikol Pashinyan
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, addressing the nation, stated:
"Dear people, I am aware that my speech yesterday has sparked numerous contrasting evaluations. To be honest, it should not sound strange that I am glad for this. That speech had two objectives: to showcase the constructiveness of the Armenian side to the international community and also the firmness of the Armenian people in the uncompromising struggle for the rights of Artsakh.
Both issues have been addressed in a completely unusual yet quite effective manner. I want to thank you all for your determination. Our task is to transform the energy generated by yesterday’s speech into concrete action. All for Artsakh, everything for Artsakh. This is the logic that must prevail in these days.
The entire system of state governance is currently working towards eliminating organizational gaps and making the actions of each link more effective. Our capabilities are not limitless, but the Artsakh Defense Army has sufficient weaponry and potential to address the tasks set before it. Yes, we have many enemies in the world, but we also have friends who stand by us in difficult times, who are standing by us and will stand by us. The grateful Armenian people will never forget this attitude. Never.
And even more so against this backdrop, we must strengthen our will, unite our will, nurture our determination and dedication, and materialize our decision to defend our people and the right of the Artsakh Armenians to self-determination. This war must become an absolute and irreplaceable priority for each of us, and we will win.
During this war, the perception of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict has significantly changed in the world. Major international actors now recognize and openly declare that Azerbaijan and Turkey are the aggressive parties. The involvement of terrorists and mercenaries fighting for Azerbaijan is already a verified fact worldwide.
This has become possible, among other things, due to our correct diplomatic work and public constructive emphases. They reveal that Azerbaijan, just like before, is not ready for compromises, and this fact internationally legitimizes the right of the Armenian people to fight to the end, achieve victories, and enjoy those victories.
Let’s agree that we will fear nothing. We will not allow any internal or external force to sow doubts about our free and happy future. We will not be discouraged even by our mistakes, errors, and failures. All of this will not change the strategy stated above, because:
We have lost, we have lost multiple times,
And seen the scoff of lies,
But our will is stronger than stone,
Our spirit knows not to surrender.
Therefore, you are the victorious people, Armenia. Go and seize your victory, stand and build your victory. And rest assured, your chosen government will not waver for a moment, not a second, from its duty and obligation to show you the path to this victory.
Therefore, Long Live Freedom, Long Live the Republic of Armenia, Long Live the Republic of Artsakh, Long Live the Armenian Army, and long live our children who will live in a free and happy Armenia, a free and happy Artsakh. Thank you!"
