Investigation Committee on the Arrest of Garegin B’s Brother and Nephew

The Investigation Committee has informed 1lurer.am that during the pre-trial investigation of a criminal case, public criminal prosecution has been initiated against two individuals under Article 211 of the Criminal Code (coercing someone to campaign or refusing to campaign, or otherwise obstructing campaigning).

It is noted that in the consolidated community of Vagharshapat, the candidate of the Republic Party, Harutyun Mkrtchyan, made a post on his Facebook page, indicating that around 16:10 on November 1, Garegin B's brother, Gevorg Nersisyan, obstructed the electoral campaign with his sons. This information was shared by lawyer Ara Zohrapyan.

Today, the investigative body has made a decision to arrest 68-year-old Gevorg Nersisyan and his son, Hambardzum Nersisyan, in order to bring them to court for detention.
