Michael Jackson's Foundation Secretly Compensates 5 Individuals
The Michael Jackson Estate has secretly paid around $2.5 million to five individuals at the beginning of 2025, who claimed that the singer had sexually assaulted them years ago. This information was reported by the Financial Times, citing court documents.
According to the publication, this payment concludes a case that began in 2020, with a total settlement amount of approximately $16.5 million. Some of the participants allege they were pressured at the time and did not fully understand the terms of the agreement. They are now seeking new hearings and possible additional compensation.
An LA court is set to make a decision soon on whether the case will be discussed in an open hearing or continue to be examined in a closed format. Jackson's heirs, in turn, assert that all allegations are baseless and remind that according to the 2020 agreement, all matters should be resolved in closed sessions.
Michael Jackson has been accused multiple times over the years of inappropriate behavior towards children; however, he was acquitted during a 2005 trial. The singer passed away in 2009 due to cardiac arrest.
