Azerbaijan Accuses Armenian Opposition of Having 'Provocative Intentions'
The head of Azerbaijan's State Security Service, Lieutenant General Ali Naghiyev, has stated that the "Armenian opposition is making serious attempts to disrupt the process of normalization of Azerbaijani-Armenian relations." This was reported by local media outlets.
Speaking at the 24th meeting of the conference of special services of Turkic-speaking states in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan, on Tuesday, Naghiyev noted that several radical groups from certain neighboring countries continue their activities, which are aimed at undermining stability and calmness in the region and within Azerbaijan.
According to a statement from the agency, "Revanchist forces in Armenia have not yet abandoned their provocative intentions, and that the opposition in this country is making serious attempts to disrupt the process of normalization of Azerbaijani-Armenian relations."
