UN General Assembly President Deletes Post on Armenian Genocide
The President of the UN General Assembly, Abdulla Shahid, has deleted his post about the Armenian Genocide from his Twitter account. It is worth noting that he is on a working visit to Armenia and today visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial, which prompted the original post.
He had written, “I have laid a wreath at the memorial to the victims of the Armenian Genocide. Special thanks to the director of the museum-institute, Harutyun Mariyutsyan, and Hasmik Martirosyan for the tour of the museum.”
However, just a few hours later, the President of the UN General Assembly deleted the post, although traces of it remain on the internet. Armenian users on Twitter expressed their outrage over the removal of the post and demanded its republishing.
