Continuous Discussion on Signing the Peace Agreement: Harutyunyan on Talks with Azerbaijan
The discussions pertain to various issues, for instance, the agenda for demarcation and delimitation, which is being handled by Mr. Grigoryan, while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working according to its own agenda. This was stated by the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister, Arayik Harutyunyan, in a conversation with reporters regarding talks with the Azerbaijani side.
“The Security Council and Armen Grigoryan are working with their counterparts. When there are results, we talk about them, and I think that the pace of the Armenia-Azerbaijan process and relations is not bad; for example, the lifting of the ban on the transportation of Armenian goods by Azerbaijan. When there are communications between the heads of states, you will definitely know about it,” he noted.
Harutyunyan added that intense communications cover all issues. “In bilateral communications, the question of signing the peace agreement is continuously present, and we should also strive to find common grounds so that the document is signed,” he emphasized, added Harutyunyan.
