Khudatyan on Extension of Operation for Second Block of Metsamor Nuclear Power Plant

The Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Davit Khudatyan, announced during the discussions on the 2026 budget in the National Assembly that 20.1 billion drams will be allocated for the extension of the operational period of the second block of the Metsamor Nuclear Power Plant.

According to Khudatyan, the modernization works of the second block will continue into the next year as well. “The works will continue while ensuring its operation until 2026, and then until 2036,” the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Davit Khudatyan, added.
