Ukraine Invites U.S. Officials to Kyiv
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sibihyan has announced that senior American officials, including U.S. President's Special Representative Stephen Whitko, have been invited to visit Kyiv. According to him, Ukraine is always open to welcoming its American partners.
"The Ukrainian side has invited several American officials to visit our country, including Mr. Whitko. We are always happy to see our American friends in Ukraine," Sibihyan noted. He added that such invitations remain permanently valid, and representatives from Washington never receive additional formal invitations.
Earlier, The Washington Post and Bloomberg, citing sources, reported that Stephen Whitko attempted to persuade President Volodymyr Zelensky during their last meeting to agree to certain territorial concessions regarding the Donetsk region. The Ukrainian side has not officially commented on this information.
