Moscow Supports Swift Launch of Transportation Projects Under Trilateral Agreements: Russian Foreign Ministry
As part of the agreements reached between the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Russia in Sochi, Moscow is engaging in dialogue regarding the swift launch of specific transportation projects. This was announced by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, during a weekly briefing.
“The initiatives that were published as a result of the meeting held in Brussels complement the trilateral agreements made by the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan on November 26, 2021. Their substantial discussion continues through the trilateral working group co-chaired by the deputy prime ministers,” said Zakharova.
According to her, within the framework of this mechanism, the entire scope of issues regarding the unblocking of transport and economic links in the South Caucasus is being discussed, including the restoration of both railway and road communications in the region. “We are recording the issues and working on them. It is very important to create a suitable atmosphere. We see the problems, document them, address them individually, and then discuss them together,” the Russian diplomat clarified.
