Ukraine Will Not Repay Loans: Merz

German Chancellor Merz has once again called on the EU to use frozen Russian assets for loans granted to Ukraine.

The Chancellor stated that during the European Council meeting on October 23, he will insist on using the €140 billion of frozen Russian assets in Europe to finance loans to Kyiv.

According to Merz, these funds should be used exclusively for military equipment, and Ukraine will not repay the loans until Russia pays
