Levon Kocharyan does not consider it likely to form an alliance with the Republican Party. "There is no sense or purpose in that," the lawmaker from the "Armenia" faction told reporters in the courtyard of the court during the hearing of the case involving Bishop Bagrat and others.

He added that although the goal is the same—removing the current authorities—this does not mean that everyone should unite under a single electoral list.

"Unity is necessary; large blocs should be formed. It would be more appropriate for smaller parties with less rating to unite; it would be a mistake to participate separately," he stated.
