Romanos Petrosyan Dismisses Another 5 Employees from HEC

The temporary manager of HEC, Romanos Petrosyan, has made a post on his Facebook page regarding the power outage in a regional settlement that lasted over 6 hours due to an accidental shutdown.

"The duty dispatcher of the relevant branch of HEC failed to properly record the fact of the accident in the logbook (in response to the obvious illegal instructions of the branch's chief engineer) and did not report immediately to the central operational service of HEC as required by the established procedure. The fact of the incident became known to the senior management and the central operational service of HEC only hours later, which resulted in additional oversight being imposed on the recovery operations, and power supply was restored two hours later," he wrote.

Based on a thorough comparison of the situation, as well as a comprehensive analysis of the actions and measures taken by the employees on duty and responsible officials of that shift, the following individuals were dismissed:
- Deputy Director - Chief Engineer of the branch,
- Head of the operational management service of the branch,
- Senior dispatcher of that service (on duty),
- Head of one of the branch's electrical networks,
- Deputy Chief Engineer of that electrical network.

He urged all employees of "HEC" LLC and responsible officials of various levels: "In ensuring the normal operations of the company, while fulfilling your job responsibilities, act exclusively within the scope of the powers entrusted to you, respecting the best interests of the Company and guided by the state and public interest of the Republic of Armenia. Therefore, I call on you not to perform any obvious illegal instructions or orders given by superiors that contradict the interests of the Company and our citizens, and to inform the Company's security and regulatory administration or myself directly about this by any means of communication."

Once again, I would like to thank the thousands of conscientious and honest employees of HEC," he added.
