Price Increase in Fuel Market: 'Haykakan Zham' Reports
Recently, drivers have been complaining about the rising costs of fuel, particularly liquid gas. This was reported by Haykakan Zham newspaper.
“The issue is that within just one or two weeks, the price of liquid gas has doubled, reaching 200-220 drams. Currently, it is claimed that the price is gradually decreasing, reaching 160-170 drams, but when compared to last year’s prices, it is still considered high.
Analyzing data available from the statistical committee, we observe that inflation has been higher than expected. In the surveyed areas of the republic, in September 2025 compared to August, the prices of non-food products increased by 0.1-0.7%, with relatively high inflation registered in Hrazdan. In the capital, the prices of non-food products rose by 0.3%.
In September 2025, compared to August, the prices of gasoline and diesel fuel increased by 4.4% and 3.9%, respectively. Additionally, in September 2025, compared to September 2024, there was a 1.1% decrease in gasoline prices and a 1.5% increase in diesel prices, while compared to December 2024, there was a corresponding decrease of 0.1% and an increase of 3.2%.
In September 2025, compared to September 2024, a 15.2% increase in liquid hydrocarbons (butane, propane, etc.) was recorded, while compared to August 2025, a decrease of 1.8% was noted. Furthermore, in September 2025, the average monthly price of liquid hydrocarbons (butane, propane, etc.) was 193.6 drams,” the newspaper reports.
