Noteworthy 'Integration' Event to Take Place in Yerevan
As the political landscape in Armenia prepares for a break, with some high-ranking officials already on vacation, an important event is set to take place in the country. According to our sources, the first international forum titled ‘New Horizons of Armenia and EAEU Cooperation: BRICS, SCO’ will be held in Yerevan on August 8.
The initiative for this forum comes from Mher Avetisyan, the founder of the ‘House of Russian Book’ and the chairman of the Russian-Armenian Business Council. Our sources indicate that the forum is expected to attract over a thousand participants, including attendees from abroad.
Notably, there has been a growing sentiment lately that Armenia should intensify its engagement in international integration processes with organizations such as BRICS and the SCO. For context, BRICS is a group of five countries composed of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, while the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) is a Eurasian political, economic, and security organization comprising India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
