Knesset Members Explain Their Reasons for Disrupting Trump's Speech

As reported, an incident occurred during U.S. President Donald Trump’s speech in the Knesset of Israel, involving two members of the Arab political alliance. According to The Times of Israel, representatives Ayman Odeh and Ofer Cassif attempted to interrupt the American leader's address by holding up a banner demanding 'Recognize Palestine.'

Security swiftly removed the representatives from the chamber, after which Trump commented, 'That was very effective,' and continued with his speech. Both members later explained their actions on social media; Cassif stated that they were 'demanding justice,' while Odeh deemed his removal unjustified, emphasizing that his request was supported by the international community.

Trump's visit to Israel coincides with the completion of a deal for the release of 20 hostages held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip for over two years, as part of a plan proposed by the administration to cease military operations.
