Russian Broadcaster Kiselyov Sends Interview Request to Biden

The general director of the "Russia Today" media group, Dmitry Kiselyov, announced during the "Vesti Nedely" program on the "Russia 1" television channel that he has sent an interview request to the White House for a conversation with U.S. President Joe Biden.

“We believe that our countries lack the opportunity to listen to each other, and we think that the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, could serve as a worthy example by agreeing to an interview aimed at the American audience... I intend to conduct the interview myself, Dmitry Kiselyov, the general director of the "Russia Today" media group and host of the most popular information-analytical program on "Russia 1,"” he noted in the letter.

The interview is planned to be translated into foreign languages and disseminated on various media platforms and social networks both in Russia and around the world through the RIA Novosti Telegram channel and website.

“In general, President Biden should respond to all this appropriately. The best and most impressive option for the White House will be a mirrored interview with a Russian journalist. As we say, we are waiting for a response as eagerly as a summer nightingale,” Kiselyov commented in his program.

It is worth noting that U.S. journalist Tucker Carlson published a two-hour interview with the Russian leader on the night of February 9 on his website and various platforms. That interview garnered over 200 million views on the social network X alone. A significant part of the conversation was dedicated to the Ukrainian conflict and Russia's relations with the U.S., NATO, and the West.
