Georgia and Azerbaijan to Sign Agreement on New Checkpoint

The governments of Azerbaijan and Georgia will sign a memorandum regarding the "Silk Road" joint international automobile checkpoint. Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has signed a decree in this regard. This information was reported by the APA news agency.

According to the document, the memorandum provides for the practical operation of the station.

It is worth noting that the "Silk Road" checkpoint is one of six crossing points planned for the state border between Azerbaijan and Georgia since March 2022. This checkpoint falls under the category of joint, international automobile checkpoints intended for permanent automobile, passenger, and cargo connections.
