Yerevan Celebrates Its Birthday Today: Erebuni-Yerevan 2807

Traditionally, this holiday has become a beloved event not only for the city but for the entire country, bringing together thousands of people and reminding them that Yerevan is not just a history, but also a feeling—of love, memory, and ever-renewing energy.

With the initiative of the Yerevan Municipality, the entire capital will turn into an open stage. Various communities will host festive events, and in the evening, the main stage will be set up at Republic Square, where a grand gala concert featuring leading Armenian artists will take place.

Dear Yerevan residents and guests of the capital, we invite you to celebrate the 2807th anniversary of our capital together. On October 12, starting at noon, various parts of Yerevan will turn into large festive venues, featuring beloved and renowned artists.

In different parts of the city—including Nor-Nork, Arabkir, the Avan community, and the Hrazdan Gorge area—there will be fairs, exhibitions, outdoor dances, and games for children. At 21:00, the main event of the day will take place at Republic Square—the concluding festive concert with the participation of artists and an impressive light show that will end with a magnificent fireworks display.

It should be noted that the Yerevan Municipality has announced that due to events related to the “Erebuni-Yerevan 2807” celebration, some streets will be closed. Until 06:00 on October 13, Tigran Mets Avenue and Nalbandyan Street, leading into Republic Square, will be closed. On October 12, Republic Square will be fully closed to traffic until 24:00. Until 24:00 on October 12, Sakharov Square will also be entirely closed. Additionally, on October 12 until 24:00, Teryan and Pushkin Streets adjacent to Northern Avenue will also be closed to traffic.
