HJC Summons Haik Sargsyan for Questioning; Decision on Gegham Manukyan's Assault Expected
The newspaper "Jhoghovurd" reports that the Special Investigative Service has made a decision regarding the assault on Gegham Manukyan, a member of the National Assembly from the "Armenia" faction, that occurred on August 25. According to information received, the HJC has summoned Haik Sargsyan, a member of the "Civil Contract" faction, for questioning, after which a decision will be made. What decision the HJC has made will be revealed today.
The matter is that, according to the available evidence, it was Sargsyan who struck Manukyan. It is worth noting that Gegham Manukyan has been summoned again today to the HJC to become familiar with the materials of the criminal case. Whether the HJC will forward this case to court, or like other incidents in the National Assembly, will drop it, will become clear today. However, judging by the testimony provided by Gegham Manukyan, one thing is evident: the criminal case is likely to be dismissed.
Recall that ArmLur.am had published a video where it is clearly seen that Gegham Manukyan is assaulted by Haik Sargsyan, a member of the CP faction. And now, the HJC is specifically seeking testimony from Gegham Manukyan to essentially testify against Haik Sargsyan, but according to our sources, Manukyan indicated at the HJC that this was a mass hooliganism incited by Nikol Pashinyan.
It is quite clear that in the HJC legal standards will be overshadowed by personal interests, and the investigator handling the criminal case will not dare to initiate a case against Nikol Pashinyan.
