Israeli Losses in War with Hamas Revealed

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) press service has released updated figures on personnel losses during the armed conflict with the Palestinian Hamas movement, which began on October 7, 2023. As of October 10, 2025, the total number of Israeli soldiers killed has reached 914.

According to the official statement, 467 soldiers were killed during ground operations in the Gaza Strip. The remaining losses are attributed to rocket attacks, operations in other areas, and non-combat incidents; however, the IDF has not provided a detailed breakdown of these categories. The agency has limited itself to generalized statistics, emphasizing that the data is current as of the time of publication.

The conflict, which was initiated by a Hamas attack on southern Israeli territories, has been accompanied by intense combat operations, including airstrikes, ground operations, and border clashes.
