In Echmiadzin, the victory of the CP has become a matter of life and death

Armlur.am reports: “In the Holy City of Armenia, the victory of the CP has become a matter of life and death for the ruling party. On Friday, October 3, a meeting of the CP's board was held, dedicated to the upcoming mayoral elections of the consolidated community of Vagharsapat in November. The meeting was attended by the acting mayor of Echmiadzin, Argishti Mekhakyan, and the newly appointed governor of Armavir, former representative of the security forces Vahram Khachatryan.

According to editorial sources, Nikol Pashinyan stated, 'You understand how important it is for us to have a CP mayor in Echmiadzin right now.'

CP candidate Argishti Mekhakyan delivered a speech outlining the achievements he has made during this period and the meetings and discussions he has had. It was noted that the person responsible for the elections in the Echmiadzin community is the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures, David Khudatyan. Governor Khachatryan is also expected to assist Mekhakyan in getting elected, which is why he has recently been frequently invited to CP board meetings.

Pashinyan is currently not very satisfied with the situation and has urged his team to work to prevent the mayoral position in Echmiadzin from being 'handed over' to the opposition. The presence of the opposition mayor from Gyumri in the political landscape is already irritating Pashinyan.
