Drones from Neighboring Countries Intruded into Iran During 12-Day War, Iranian General Says
The commander of Iran's border police, General Ahmad Ali Goodarzi, announced that drones have intruded into Iranian territory from a number of neighboring countries during the 12-day war with Israel, which has been documented for the purpose of filing complaints, according to Mehr.
General Goodarzi made this statement at a ceremony dedicated to the activities of the country's law enforcement agencies. “During the 12-day war, which was imposed on us by the Zionist regime, drones and quadcopters have entered our territory from certain countries. We have documented these incidents and submitted relevant reports. Our border guards have observed that three microbuses were located in the territory of a neighboring country, from which unmanned aerial vehicles and small aircraft were launched. When we informed the border guards of that country, their forces took measures, resulting in the death of three individuals during the confrontation and the arrest of others,” the general said.
He added that large-scale military exercises, dedicated to the Prophet Muhammad, will be conducted in the Persian Gulf in the coming weeks, involving armed forces and the local population.
