Katz Reveals Main Objective of Attack in Gaza

The Israeli Defense Forces have launched a large-scale ground assault in Gaza. Defense Minister Israel Katz announced that if Hamas does not release hostages and disarm, the Gaza Strip will be obliterated, as reported by MigNews.

“We want only two things from Hamas, and they will not provide them voluntarily: to release all hostages and disarm. The main objective of the attack here... is to defeat Hamas directly and create a more effective leverage to release the hostages,” Katz stated during a visit to the headquarters of the 162nd Division, whose forces are currently operating in Gaza City.

“We want to establish control over Gaza City, as it is today the main symbol of Hamas’s authority. If Gaza is destroyed today, they too will be destroyed,” he added.

According to Katz, the “bloodthirsty Sinwar brothers” Yahya and Muhammad, who led the group in Gaza before being killed by Israel, “have devastated Gaza, and if Iz ad-Din al-Haddad continues like this, he will obliterate Gaza,” referring to the new military leader of Hamas in Gaza.
