Zelensky Notes the Number of North Koreans in Russian Troops

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has had a phone conversation with South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol. They discussed the anticipated involvement of North Korean soldiers in military operations against the Ukrainian Armed Forces by Kyiv and Seoul.

"We have discussed the involvement of North Korean military personnel in Ukraine in response to the Russian invasion. The conclusion is clear: this war is internationalizing and extending beyond the borders of the two countries," Zelensky stated.

He provided the South Korean president with updated information about 3,000 North Korean soldiers being moved to Russian military training grounds near the conflict zone, with an expected increase in numbers to around 12,000.

"We have agreed to strengthen the exchange of intelligence data and expertise," he added.
