27-Year-Old Woman Deceived Nearly 100 People in Moscow, Collecting Over 200 Million Rubles

A 27-year-old woman, Sheryehon Osmanova from Uzbekistan, assumed the name Sherye Shoigu and presented herself as the cousin of Russia's former Minister of Defense, Sergey Shoigu. This was reported by Mash.

She convinced individuals that her family managed a private stock exchange where investments could yield high returns. Almost 100 Moscow residents fell victim to this scam, with total losses exceeding 200 million rubles, according to attorney Said Yarakhmedov representing the victims.

When the victims began demanding the return of their funds, it became clear that the stock exchange did not exist, and the money had “evaporated.” Affected individuals are now turning to law enforcement for assistance.
