Russian Defense Ministry on Maintaining Ceasefire Regime in Artsakh
The Russian peacekeeping force continues to carry out its assigned tasks in Nagorno-Karabakh. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
According to the announcement, Russian peacekeepers are conducting round-the-clock monitoring and controlling the maintenance of the ceasefire regime at thirty-seven observation posts. It was noted that no violations have been recorded in the responsibility zone of the Russian peacekeeping force.
“Patrols are being conducted along four routes in the Martakert, Martuni, and Shushi regions. The engineering-sapper units of the Russian peacekeeping contingent continue to clear mines from objects and territories. An area of 0.8 hectares is cleared daily.
To ensure the safety of Russian peacekeepers and prevent possible incidents, continuous cooperation with the General Staffs of the armed forces of Azerbaijan and Armenia is being maintained,” the statement said.
