Air Ambulances Transport Two Children from Syunik to Surb Astvatsamayr Medical Center, One in Critical Condition
In a single day, air ambulances have transported two different children from the Syunik province to the Surb Astvatsamayr Medical Center. This information was shared on the hospital's Facebook page.
“The first helicopter transported an 8-year-old girl who fell from a height of about 3 meters, suffering from cranio-cerebral injuries and fractures. Initially, she was taken to Goris for first aid, and later, doctors from Surb Astvatsamayr Medical Center transferred her to Yerevan by air ambulance. The child's condition is currently assessed as serious but stable.
The second helicopter transported a 4-year-old boy who was suffering from severe respiratory distress. Prior to the helicopter's departure, doctors from the Surb Astvatsamayr Medical Center provided consultation to local colleagues by phone, and then proceeded to Kapan, where the child was transferred to Yerevan with a connected mechanical ventilation device. The boy's condition is currently assessed as serious, with a life-threatening risk,” the post said.
