Shushanig Nersisyam to Receive New Position
According to the newspaper "Hraparak", "Yesterday, by the decision of Nikol Pashinyan, Shushanig Nersisyam, known as 'Nikolka Shushon', was relieved from the position of Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee. She served for about 4 years and from the day she stepped into the system, she was among the top ten of scandalous news in the media, ranging from patronage to intimacy with oligarchs and serving their interests.
The disagreements between Rustam Badasyan and Nersisyam also arose from the moment Badasyan took the position of Chairman of the State Revenue Committee. There were rumors that Badasyan was gathering materials against her to initiate a criminal case, and they would have been dismissed long ago if it weren’t for the protection of Pashinyan's wife, Anna Hakobyan. When 54 customs employees delivered a letter to our editorial office accusing Badasyan of defaming them, it became clear that the chairman and deputy had entered a phase of public confrontation.
Our sources say that Pashinyan did not want to dismiss Badasyan, but he also does not want to offend Nersisyam, and soon she will be appointed to a new position.
Yesterday, we contacted Nersisyam, who said she was busy and couldn’t speak. When we inquired whether she was leaving the position by her own wish, she replied, "I agree to be relieved according to my request." Regarding her conflict with Badasyan, she said, "I have a great respect for Mr. Badasyan, and I consider such discussions to be fabricated."
It is also noteworthy that Nersisyam's name was mentioned in the cigarette scandal that took place in April 2020, when employees of the Russian customs seized 2,700 boxes of smuggled cigarettes at Krasnodar Airport, which had Armenian excise stamps. The shipment was on its way to Afghanistan through Dushanbe, and the transit aircraft belonged to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia."
