Volodin Left Armenia Immediately After the Meeting: "Hraparak"

The newspaper "Hraparak" reports: "The two opposition factions in the National Assembly, as is known, sent a letter yesterday to Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, who presided over the CSTO council meeting in Armenia, informing that they do not consider it appropriate to participate in that meeting.

In the letter, they expressed hope that it would be possible to organize meetings with delegations from CSTO member states and leaders and representatives of the two opposition factions in the National Assembly to present the opposition's position on agenda issues.

All day yesterday, government circles and media circulated news that Volodin had rejected the opposition. "Hayastan" alliance MP Agnesa Khmoyan told our reporter yesterday that they had merely expressed their "readiness" for a meeting in the letter to Volodin and had received no response because, according to the MP's information, Volodin left Armenia immediately after the meeting."
