New Road Markings to be Introduced in Armenia
The newspaper “Joghampout” reports that new road markings will be implemented in Armenia. It has been revealed that a red broken line will be used to mark the stop points for public transport vehicles and parking spaces for light passenger-taxi cars.
It turns out that the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure studied international practices and deemed it appropriate to introduce new markings. This measure aims to enhance the alertness of drivers approaching uncontrolled intersections and improve the safety of pedestrian traffic.
On the other hand, citizens have been complaining and reporting that the red ground marking is not sufficiently visible and understandable to participants in road traffic. Therefore, it is proposed to use yellow ground markings, which would make it more visible and comprehensible for road traffic participants.
