Avoid Using the Term 'Zangezur Corridor': Deputy Prime Minister
Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan participated remotely in the regular meeting of the heads of governments of the CIS countries. In his speech, the Deputy Prime Minister also noted that sustainable and comprehensive economic development is impossible without the creation of modern infrastructure and the establishment of effective transportation and communication logistics.
“In this regard, I would like to emphasize that the Republic of Armenia is committed to the agenda of regional connectivity,” said the Deputy Prime Minister. In response to Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov's speech, he emphasized that it is necessary to refrain from using the term 'Zangezur Corridor,' adding that according to the high-level documents signed between the countries, the term 'Trump's Road for International Peace and Prosperity' should be used in the context of unblocking.
At the end of his speech, Mher Grigoryan expressed the readiness of the Armenian side to continue to strengthen constructive partnership within the CIS framework for the implementation of promising and mutually beneficial projects.
