G20 Summit Begins
The G20 summit has officially started in Rome, with participants arriving Saturday morning at the conference center located in the southern part of the Italian capital.
According to reports from RIA Novosti, leaders of countries and governments, along with heads of major international organizations, arrived by car at the center, where they were welcomed by Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi. The last leaders to arrive were French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
After a unified photo session, participants will move on to the first working session dedicated to 'global economy and health'. The main themes of the summit will include climate issues, the consequences of the pandemic, and recovery.
