Zelensky's New Criticism of Georgia
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, addressing participants of the Warsaw Security Forum via video link, has reiterated that Georgia is lost to Europe.
Zelensky commented on the victory of pro-European forces in the parliamentary elections in Moldova: "Today we congratulate Moldova. The idea of Europe, the idea of normal and stable national development has won in the elections. Russia's destructive influence will no longer spread in Europe. This morning I spoke with Maia Sandu and congratulated her that Russia was unable to destabilize Moldova, despite the enormous resources spent to undermine the country," he said.
He then noted that the situation in Moldova differs from that in Georgia: "Today Georgia is lost to Europe in many respects. Perhaps one day it will return to the European path. But for that to happen, Europe must not turn a blind eye to everything that is happening there and in Belarus. Every success of Russia in our region is always a loss for Europe. Therefore, we cannot afford to lose a single day or a single country," Zelensky emphasized.
