Do Not Succumb to Provocations: Zakharova

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, addressed the participants of the first Armenian-Russian media forum in Armenia, commenting on the events that took place the day before.

She called for not giving in to provocations, expressing confidence that the common future of the two fraternal peoples will withstand everything that has occurred.

Zakharova described the event as a right step. She emphasized that even the dirtiest provocations have failed (referring to the arrest of Mika Badalyan and Ashot Gevorgyan in Goris), and the conference has taken place and will continue to operate.

It should be noted that earlier reports indicated that pro-Russian blogger Mika Badalyan and Sputnik Armenia columnist Ashot Gevorgyan were arrested the day before in Goris.
