Saakashvili Must Return Embezzled Millions to Georgia's State Treasury

The court has ordered former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and his former security chief, Giga Chikovani, to pay over $3 million to the state treasury for embezzlement during his presidency, reports InterPressNews.
Specifically, the judge's ruling mandates Mikheil Saakashvili and Tamaz Chikovani to collectively pay a total of 8,392,827 lari to the state budget. Additionally, the judge has further mandated Saakashvili to pay 631,540 lari.
