Narek Ohanian Has Been Arrested

In connection with the murder case that occurred in Mezhavan, a public criminal prosecution has been initiated against the arrested individual for assisting in the murder while the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceedings is ongoing.

The Investigative Committee reports that a motion was submitted to the court regarding the application of detention as a measure of restraint for the individual, which has been granted. It is noteworthy that this concerns the first arrested individual, Narek Ohanian.

According to the Investigative Committee, during the investigative actions in the preliminary investigation, a gym membership card was also discovered in a sports bag, which has been forwarded to the investigative body. It has been established that the membership card belongs to the person who committed the murder.

Continuing the operational-search activities carried out by the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs aimed at fully revealing the crime, the identity of another member of the group allegedly involved in the murder was also clarified and disclosed, who has been arrested and submitted to the investigative body. The latter has given self-incriminating testimonies and indicated the location of the firearm used in the crime. The investigating officer also seized the firearm used in the crime.

A public criminal prosecution has been initiated against the individual who committed the murder under articles 155, part 1 (2 episodes) (murder), 44-155, part 1 (attempted murder), and 335, part 1 (illegal circulation of firearms, their main components, ammunition, and other materials, devices, and objects) of the Criminal Code.
