Hungary's Prime Minister Demands Zelensky to Stop the 'Persecution' Against Him
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has demanded that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stop the 'persecution' against him. 'Hungary is a member of NATO and the EU. Ukraine would have long collapsed without the support of these two organizations. President Zelensky, with all due respect, please cease pursuing us,' Orbán wrote on the social media platform 'X.'
It is worth noting that the Ukrainian president has repeatedly criticized the Hungarian authorities for various reasons. For instance, in July, Zelensky stated that Hungary could not mediate between Ukraine and Russia in negotiations, as the country 'has no real influence over Russian President Vladimir Putin.'
Just yesterday, Zelensky announced that Ukrainian soldiers would respond if drones were spotted again along the Hungary-Ukraine border. He mentioned that reconnaissance drones had been detected near the Ukraine-Hungary border.
