Foreign Ministers of CSTO Member States Issue Joint Statement

Within the framework of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, a working meeting of the foreign ministers of the CSTO member states took place under the chairmanship of Jeenbek Kulubaev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The parties discussed current issues of international and regional security, as well as exchanged views on key directions of cooperation within the organization and the implementation of the goals and principles enshrined in the UN Charter. Special attention was paid to maintaining international peace and security, strengthening multilateral cooperation, and coordinating CSTO actions against modern threats, including terrorism, extremism, and transnational crime in accordance with UN priorities.

The ministers reaffirmed their commitment to the core principles and objectives of the CSTO, emphasized the importance of mutual cooperation and timely exchange of information to effectively respond to emerging challenges, and highlighted the significance of coordinating with international organizations, including the UN.
