The Order to Shoot Down Russian Aircraft Will Be Given by NATO Command in Germany

The order to shoot down Russian aircraft will be given by NATO command located in Germany. Estonia will not be the one making the decision to intercept objects violating its airspace, reports the Estonian Postimees newspaper, citing the country's General Staff.

The General Staff noted that the order to scramble NATO jets after three flights of Russian MiGs was issued from Germany. Furthermore, the decision to neutralize those violating Estonian airspace will also not be made in Estonia.

The publication highlights that the decision-making process in such situations is usually characterized as 'complex.'
