Shooting Occurs on Iran-Afghanistan Border

Shooting occurred today between Iranian border guards and Taliban forces in the Ghorian area, near the border with Afghanistan. This is reported by IRNA, citing local chief Meysam Barazandeh.

According to the source, the clashes between the military personnel are ongoing, and there are currently no reports of casualties or injuries.

It should be noted that this is not the first border incident between the parties involved. One occurred in December 2022, when the conflict arose over disputes regarding the ownership of agricultural lands.
