Netanyahu Has Departed for Cairo for Ceasefire Negotiations

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has traveled to Cairo, the capital of Egypt, to participate in negotiations regarding a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the release of hostages taken by the Palestinian Hamas movement in 2023, Reuters reports.

"Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has gone to Cairo on Tuesday to negotiate over a ceasefire in Gaza," the agency states.

Earlier, the Israeli newspaper Times of Israel reported that the Israeli delegation had arrived in Doha, the capital of Qatar, to discuss the terms of a ceasefire and the release of hostages in the Gaza Strip. According to sources from the publication, the delegation includes representatives from the military, the Shin Bet security service, and the Mossad intelligence agency.
